About Mother Goose Corner Nursery & Pre-School

We are a family owned and run Nursery located in central Huntingdon, found adjacent to the One Leisure swimming pool. Originally founded in 1998, for our first 14 years of opening we were based in a large, detached Victorian property close to the ring road. However, just like the Hungry Caterpillar grew and grew, we too found ourselves needing more space (!) and in August 2011 moved to our current beautiful home on Spring Common.

My daughter has been going to Mother Goose since she was 18 months old and has always enjoyed going. Now that she is 3 and in preschool we always look forward to hearing about her day! Her “teachers” are her “best friends”, she loves to interact with all of the staff who are quite frankly brilliant.

Bright, fun and caring nursery with superb staff, location and outdoor area. We are very pleased both our children can visit this nursery. There is always a big smile on their faces on collection and they have always a lot to tell us about various activities they did during the day. We always receive full feedback about them, there is always time to discuss anything with the key person.

I would highly recommend Mother Goose to anyone in the local area. I love the fact it’s a family run business all the staff are so helpful and friendly.

My son only goes one day a week (I would love for him to go more!) he settled in really quickly considering this fact and I believe that’s down to the staff and nursery creating an environment that is fun, friendly and engaging and offering a wide range of activities. My son loves it, he is always really chatty after pick up telling me about his day.

Beverley

Nursery Director

Beverley has grown up with the Nursery since the age of thirteen, and came home from London in 2011 to help Valerie run the setting as co-Manager. Beverley now leads the Nursery as Director, and harnesses her passion for learning and development to ensure the team are happy, engaged and focussed in their care and education of each of the children.

Nursery Proprietor & Manager

From first founding Mother Goose Corner in the spring of 1998, Valerie has seen the Nursery grow from strength to strength throughout the years and remains very passionate about us providing the very best of childcare to each of the families on our register. She places an emphasis on supporting all staff members with their on-going training,

Senior Deputy Manager & Designated Safeguarding Lead

Nicola is one of our two Senior Deputy Managers here at Nursery, and having previously held the post of Pre-School Room Leader until 2021, she also shares her second-to-none of knowledge of running an Outstanding curriculum for our three and four year olds with our current Pre-School team.
